Cancer. It’s that truth of life which meets some but is nothing less than hell for all. It’s a disease which takes over a person inside out. making them put in all they have. Though at times even that isn’t enough. But not for these three little girls. Rheann Franklin, Ainsley Peters, and Rylie Hughey are cancer survivors and sources of inspiration for anyone battling cancer in their innocent age.

9-year-old Rheann, 7-year-old Ainsley, and 6-year-old Rylie met each other in 2014. And they didn’t come across by a coincidence, they came together for a photo shoot to raise awareness of childhood cancer among the society. This photo session was conducted by Lora Scantling in 2014, touching hearts of millions. Not only that, due to such appreciation of this project, these three girls gather up every year ever since to recreate their pictures for cancer awareness. And each one is better than the previous.

According to Scantling, the photographer from Oklahoma, this year they tried something a bit different, using golds and ribbons to emphasize that cancer is a disease which needs importance no matter what.
