North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is one of the great agitators in modern political culture. Little is known of his life including his correct birth date. According to the American records, he was born on 8th January 1984. However, Swiss records state he was born on 5th July 1984. Having an unpredictable personality, he is said to have executed his uncle for plotting a coup and has over time captured the world’s attention by giving his country the reputation of being a wild card.
Kim was schooled in a Swiss boarding school between 1998 and 2000 and while nobody has yet gotten hold of his yearbook picture, his schoolmates revealed some rather interesting things about the powerful leader. Here are 10 things about Kim Jong-un’s formative years.

1. Air Jordans
17-year-old Kim Jong-un was obsessed with basketball and the Bulls in particular. He devoted an entire room in his apartment to memorabilia. He also spent a lot of time penciling sketches of Michael Jordan and was said to favor Air Jordans both on and off the court.
2. School functions
Kim registered with the Swiss school Liebefeld Steinhölzli Schule under the name Pak Un. Kim claimed to be the son of a North Korean embassy employee in Bern, the capital of Switzerland. Kim’s parents never showed up for school functions.
